Managing Partner

Charles Johnson, MBA, CFP®

Chuck is passionate about helping people deal with this increasingly complicated financial world.  Finances are much more than a daily read of the stock market!

He finds deep satisfaction in helping people streamline their financial lives, find financial clarity, and sometimes new purpose in their daily lives.  Chuck’s primary planning focus is retirement planning, noting that this can occur at any age if that is the goal of the client.

As a CFP®, he enjoys the process of aligning the investment portfolio to the clients’ wishes, including the use of Sustainable Investments, and the area of ESG Environment, Sustainability, and Governance.

Chuck’s early career experiences included co-owning a small business that supplied engineered products to automotive companies. The experience as CFO of this small business helped him understand the importance of being a leader in good corporate citizenship, the things that today are known as the 3Ps of Triple Bottom Line management:   Planet, People, and Profit.  This work lead to his interest in Sustainable Investing and built the foundation for Chuck to transition to become a Certified Financial Planner® and directly impact the lives of many people, through fee-only financial planning.

Chuck has written for USA Today, and the Boston Globe, and has been an invited speaker at industry conferences.  He has served as the Chapter Leader for the NH NAPFA study group of financial planners.  Locally, he served the community as the past President of Newburyport Education – Business Coalition, now merged with the Newburyport Education Foundation.

He loves family life, especially spending time with his grandchildren!  Chuck and his wife share their time between homes in southern New Hampshire and the South-West Florida coast.
